- The External Distribution point (EDP) Box main function is to distribute telephone line by joining each sideline pair to its correspondence pair of sub-scriber line drop wire.

- The EDP has built in lightning arrestor to protect the CPe and the user from transient voltage induce on the telecommunication lines.

- Their EDP is suitable for mounting on either a circular concrete or steel pole and provide a high level reliability in services.

- This EDP can be placed on the pole approximately 600mm below the pole ring. The outside diameter or cross section for the two types of pole is as below:
iron : 60.3mm ; concrete : 120mm

- Drop wires or internal wires connection is easy & quick.

- 10 pair termination points per pole mounted

- The EDP arrestors, without permenant damage or degradation of performance, are able to withstand surges in accordance with ITU-T K.21

- Gas Tube Arrestor with fail-safe feature are splied foe each pair and installed with EDP Box

- The EDP cover comes with a slide-on design which is capable of easy removal and replacement

- Insulation Displacement Contact (IDC) element in the EDP Box is suitably protected and encalsulated with High Gel Re-entrable encapsulant against the harmful effects of moisture, humidity and dust.
